About Learning Buddies
Learning Buddies is a K–12 tutoring and academic support company focused on helping students build stronger academic skills, confidence, and independence. We provide personalized one-on-one tutoring, homework support, study skills, state test preparation, IEP support, and academic coaching.
What makes Learning Buddies different is our experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including students receiving special education services. We understand that every child learns differently, so support is individualized to the student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our goal is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them understand how they learn, strengthen their confidence, and develop skills that support long-term success in school.

FAQ
In-person tutoring can be arranged at an agreed-upon location, such as the family's home, a local library, or another appropriate public location. Location options are discussed with each family before tutoring begins.
Both options may be available depending on location and scheduling. We'll discuss what works best for your family when setting up services. Travel availability and any applicable travel fees will be confirmed in advance.
Yes. Virtual tutoring is available for families who prefer online sessions or live outside the immediate service area. Some students may also use a combination of virtual and in-person support.
Learning Buddies can provide instructional materials, practice activities, and supplemental resources based on the student's needs. Families are also encouraged to share schoolwork, assignments, teacher feedback, assessments, or other materials that help us understand what the student is currently working on.
Not usually. Most supplemental materials needed for tutoring will be provided or recommended as part of the student's learning plan. If a specific book, workbook, or resource would be beneficial, the family will be informed before any purchase is expected.
We begin by talking with the parent or guardian about the student's strengths, challenges, school performance, and goals. Schoolwork, report cards, assessment results, teacher feedback, and IEP or 504 information may also be reviewed when the family chooses to provide them.
No. Students do not need an IEP or formal diagnosis to receive personalized instruction. Tutoring is adapted to the individual student regardless of whether they receive special education services at school.
Yes. Families can provide current assignments, study guides, teacher materials, or information about what is being taught in class so tutoring can reinforce the student's current curriculum when appropriate.
We understand that schedules change. Cancellation and rescheduling policies will be explained before services begin so families know exactly what to expect.
Yes. Services can be arranged for more than one child in a household. Depending on their ages and academic needs, sessions may be scheduled separately or a small-group option may be appropriate.
There is no one-size-fits-all schedule. Recommended frequency depends on the student's current needs, goals, and timeline. Some students benefit from weekly support, while others may need more frequent sessions during state-test preparation or when they need additional academic intervention.
Yes. Parent communication is an important part of the process. Families can receive updates about skills being addressed, areas of improvement, and areas that may need continued attention.
Pricing depends on the type of tutoring, session length, format, and individual needs of the student. Families will receive clear pricing before scheduling services.
Package options may be available for families who want ongoing tutoring or multiple sessions. Contact us to discuss the best option for your child's needs and schedule.
Travel fees may apply depending on the tutoring location and distance. Any additional costs will always be discussed and agreed upon before services begin.
No long-term commitment is required for standard tutoring services unless a specific package or program states otherwise. Families can choose the option that best fits their needs.
Accepted payment methods and payment timing will be provided when services are scheduled.
